Cooking at a standing camp
This is not a cooking fire (though it's good for roasting marshmallows or cooking in foil when it dies down to coals):

THESE are cooking fires! Don't make the fire bigger than you need it.

Cooking on Trangias
Here's our recipe for chocolate fudge fondue in a trangia:
Melt a block of chocolate, a tin of condensed milk and some golden syrup in the trangia.
You can either put the chocolate on top of the other ingredients, or melt it over hot water, then add the other ingredients. Don't put chocolate straight over the fire or it will burn.
Dip chunks of fruit - bananas and apples - into the fondue.
Messy to clean up but scouts vote it's worth it. Leaders vote it most disgusting thing cooked by scouts this year.
Don't eat all the leftover fondue or you will most likely throw up.
